First, in Romans 8:19-22 it is clear the whole creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God. See, you dog will be in an edenic earth if he makes it into the millenium. The Greek here is for a baby crowning. You see the ocean going down and the land mass of all earth going up is like a baby crowning.
Second, what is heaven? Jesus has a principle of the kingdom of God being earth as it is in heaven in the sermonon the mount (Matthew 6:10). See, God wants to bring heaven to earth. The Jehova's witnesses are a cult cause they say Jesus isn't fully God. But one thing they are right about is heaven for us is all about what happens to earth. We will be on earth.
There are too many problems with the old view of the believers only rapture. Would your unsaved children get left behind? No it can't be like that.
Limiting the rapture to believers only is a mistake. The rapture is for all creation.
Unfortunately, if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you will get burned up.

One last thing. You might think First Timothy 4:16-17 is proof of the rapture where it says we will meet the Lord in the air. But you need to check the greek. If it meant heaven then the word aer for high air would be used. But ether, the greek word for lower misty air is used in that verse meaning earth will be in an edenic state with a cloud cover, a think one. We go up with the continents but not to far. Jesus says we will go from the tip of the heavens to the tip of the heavens Mt 24:31. That is how we are gathered up. Right now we are as low as we can be in relation to the ocean, but then we will be as high as possible. That is the heavens tip to tip.
